Designing a brand for an Indianapolis-based wedding photographer as luxuriously tactile as an heirloom photo book.
Maiyasa came to me with a clear goal: target her ideal audience (brides-to-be looking for a wedding photographer in Indianapolis) without losing her personality. Her clients want quality and trustworthiness—and, let’s be honest, a bit of luxury for their special day. But Maiyasa is down-to-earth, bubbly, fun, and effortlessly elevated—definitely not cold, rigid, or inaccessible (as high-end brands can sometimes feel). So how did I propose we find the balance? Elevate the typography and marks, and balance them with a color palette & layouts that are warm and layered like an family photo book.

Two palettes in one
Here was the other tricky piece: the brand palette needed to do two things: Blend into the background so the wedding photography could shine, AND be distinct enough to remember on its own.
That’s why I recommended a primary olive green for branded touch points like business cards, client gift bags, and social presence. But when the brand shows up alongside her photography, it shifts into soft beiges and deep browns—keeping that grounded, warm feel while still carrying a sense of bridal luxury that looks at home in any venue she’d be photographing.
Finally, Allie Ochs Stogner took that brand strategy and translated it into compelling website copy that wove together the visual themes with every line. The end result was a brand that's high end without losing an ounce of warmth—perfectly suited to Creative Candids and the brides she's built it for.

“Izzy’s responsiveness, care, and guidance through the entire process made me very happy and confident in my decision to hire her for my brand & website. The biggest change I've noticed is that I'm taken more seriously within my industry. Everything really exceeded expectations and I can't thank her enough!”
